Tensou Sentai Goseiger Returns: Last Epic – The Gosei Angels are National Icons!?

Come Back! Tensou Sentai Goseiger: Last Epic – The Gosei Angels are National Idols!? is a V-Cinema release for Goseiger, serving as an epilogue to the series in which the existence of the Gosei Angels becomes public and they are unable to erase everyone’s memories. While dealing with unwanted public attention, the Goseigers also face a new enemy alongside several revived foes. The direct-to-video film features Mayuko Iwasa in a guest role. Come Back! Tensou Sentai Goseiger became available for rental on June 10, 2011, and went on sale on June 21, 2011.

After erasing everyone’s memories of Brajira’s doomsday, the Gosei Angels decide to remain on Earth and continue protecting the world instead of returning to the Gosei World. They each begin new lives: Alata works at a cafe, Hyde takes a university job in oceanic research, Eri becomes a school nurse, and the Landick siblings begin farming.

While changing bills at a bank, Alata encounters three bank robbers and is forced to reveal himself as Gosei Red in order to stop them. After formally introducing himself as a Gosei Angel, he discovers that his Memoryfly Card no longer works. He soon finds himself surrounded by new fans and later learns from the others that his actions have exposed the entire team. None of them can use their memory-erasing cards to undo the situation.

A repaired Datas then falls into the Amachi Institute and reports that a strange cloud formation is spreading and preventing the memory-erasing Gosei Cards from functioning. Master Head contacts the Gosei Angels and orders them to return to the Gosei World immediately. The team, however, believes they must first discover the source of the phenomenon. Alata convinces the others that they should reveal themselves publicly.

Following the Goseiger Emergency Press Conference, the Gosei Angels meet a man named Sakai, who offers to become their manager and turn them into household names. Their sudden fame soon leaves them exhausted and distracts them from their investigation. At one point, they even take part in a show where Alata and Eri battle Moune, Agri, and Hyde, who use Camoumirage to disguise themselves as Mons Drake, Kinggon, and Robogog.

The Gosei Angels are eventually tricked into breaking into the Prime Minister’s estate. They are about to be arrested when Gosei Knight intervenes and brings them back to the Amachi Institute. By then, however, the damage to their reputation has already been done. The public turns against the Gosei Angels, with only Nozomu and his father believing that they have been framed.

While watching the news, the team realizes that someone connected to Sakai Entertainment is responsible. They confront Sakai and notice that the company’s staff, along with other humans, are releasing a black mist created from the darkness in their hearts. This darkness is feeding the mysterious cloud bank, which is connected to the Bibi Bugs.

The Gosei Angels discover that Sakai’s aide, Yumeko Hoshino (星野 ユメコ Hoshino Yumeko), is at the center of the scheme. When they find her, Yumeko explains that her dream of becoming an actress had been destroyed, leading her to become the host of King Bibi, the final Bibi Bug. King Bibi had engineered the Gosei Angels’ downfall by disabling their memory-erasing cards as revenge for his race.

King Bibi forms himself around Yumeko and uses her body as a shield, preventing the Gosei Angels from fighting back while their defeat is broadcast to the public. With Datas’s help, however, Nozomu interrupts the broadcast and reminds everyone of all the good the Gosei Angels have done, helping restore the public’s faith in them.

As King Bibi’s control over the people weakens, Gosei Knight arrives and joins the Gosei Angels. Together they reach Yumeko and touch her heart, causing the dark clouds to completely disperse. King Bibi is weakened enough for Yumeko to be expelled from him, removing his human shield.

The Goseigers and Gosei Knight then defeat King Bibi using their Gosei Knight Dynamic combination. King Bibi uses the remaining darkness he has absorbed to enlarge himself, forcing the heroes to form Ground Gosei Great and destroy him for good.

Afterward, the Gosei Angels check on Yumeko and encourage her to continue pursuing her dream of becoming an actress. With the threat gone and their powers restored, they use their memory-erasing Gosei Cards to remove everyone’s memories of what happened. Soon afterward, the Gosei Angels say goodbye to Gosei Knight and Datas before once again going their separate ways.
