Super Sentai World

Super Sentai World is a short 3-D film based on the Super Sentai franchise. It was shown in Japan in 1994 at amusement parks and special events across the country. The film was presented as part of a triple feature alongside Kamen Rider World and Toei Hero Daishugō.

The story brings together five Super Sentai teams: Ninja Sentai Kakuranger, Gosei Sentai Dairanger, Kyōryū Sentai Zyuranger, Chōjin Sentai Jetman, and Chikyuu Sentai Fiveman. The teams unite to defend Earth from the evil demon Emperor Daidas. The film also features Shiro Izumi, who played Yūma Ōzora in Dengeki Sentai Changeman and Burai in Zyuranger, as Masato, a young man who discovers the Emperor’s weak point together with his sister Ayumi. Masato and Ayumi also appear in Kamen Rider World, connecting the two films. Narration was provided by Hironori Miyata, the narrator from Dairanger.

The film was later included on the DVD release Super Sentai The Movie Vol. 4, although the original theatrical 3D effect was not retained. The short also served as a precursor to the 1996 video release Chouriki Sentai Ohranger: Ole vs. Kakuranger, which teamed the Kakurangers with the succeeding Sentai team from Chōriki Sentai Ohranger and began the Super Sentai V-Cinema Series. It was also included with Toei Hero Daishugō in the Super Sentai The Movie Blu-Ray box set, where both shorts were presented in 3D.
