Ninja Sentai Kakuranger

Ninja Sentai Kakuranger is a Japanese tokusatsu television series and Toei Company Limited’s eighteenth production in the Super Sentai metaseries. Toei’s name for the series in international distribution is Ninja Rangers.

Footage from the series was used in the third season of Mighty Morphin Alien Rangers, and the core Kakuranger costumes were also used in the series. In January 2016, Shout! Factory announced the North American DVD release of Ninja Sentai Kakuranger: The Complete Series. The series was released on DVD in North America on May 17, 2016, making it the third Super Sentai Series released there.[2][3] On May 22, 2017, Shout! also began streaming the series on its website.

Four hundred years ago, the ninja and the Youkai fought a great war. The legendary Sarutobi Sasuke and four other ninjas sealed the Youkai Commander Nurarihyon and the energies of all his Youkai away in a cave, protected by the “Seal Door.” In the present day, Kappa, one of the few Youkai still remaining, tricks the descendants of Sarutobi Sasuke and Kirigakure Saizo—Saizou and Sasuke—into opening the “Seal Door” and releasing the Youkai.

The two join three other descendants of great ninjas to become the Kakuranger. With help from the Sanshinshou, they battle the reinvigorated Youkai. But the Kakurangers face a difficult task as the Youkai gradually unite under one banner.
