Kishiryu Sentai Ryusoulger: The Legacy of the Master’s Soul

Toei announced a new spin-off for Kishiryu Sentai Ryusoulger, focusing on the mentors of the current Ryusoulgers.

Kishiryu Sentai Ryusoulger: The Legacy of the Master’s Soul centers on Master Red, played again by Masaya Kikawada, Master Blue, reprised by Jouji Shibue, and Master Pink, reprised by Miyu Sawai, before the events of the television series.

Their successors also appear: Koh/Ryusoul Red, played by Hayato Ichinose; Melto/Ryusoul Blue, played by Keito Tsuna; and Asuna/Ryusoul Pink, played by Ichika Osaki. Their eventual teammates Towa/Ryusoul Green, played by Yuito Obara, and Bamba/Ryusoul Black, played by Tatsuya Kishida, are featured as well.

Before the Druidon return to invade Earth, the three masters carefully evaluate their future successors. Isuka, played by Kanon Hanakage, has confidence in her own strength but cannot accept what she sees as Master Pink favoring Asuna. Her impatience is also noticed by Master Blue.

During this time, a Minosaur suddenly appears and uses techniques similar to those Isuka has just learned, raising the possibility that it may have been born from her. Meanwhile, a mysterious girl named Hana, played by Ren Komai, appears before Master Red.

The spin-off also features Kenji Matsuda, known from Kamen Rider Hibiki and Kamen Rider Kiva, as Nire, Master Red’s senior. Karen Miyazaki appears as Mayu, a former pupil of Master Blue who is researching the Ryusouls.

The production is directed by Hiroya Taka, who directed episodes 40 and 41 of the Kishiryu Sentai Ryusoulger television series and also wrote some episodes of the show. Ayumi Shimo, associated with Mashin Sentai Kiramager VS Ryusoulger, wrote the spin-off, which is scheduled to premiere on October 17th through the Toei Tokusatsu Fan Club.
