About Come Back! Shuriken Sentai Ninninger: Ninnin Girls vs. Boys FINAL WARS

Come Back! Shuriken Sentai Ninninger: Ninnin Girls vs. Boys FINAL WARS is a Japanese film serving as the direct-to-video conclusion of the 2015 Super Sentai television series Shuriken Sentai Ninninger. It was released on June 22, 2016, and was written by television series screenwriter Kento Shimoyama.

Two years after the defeat of Gengetsu Kibaoni, the Ninningers reunite at the dojo to show how much stronger they have become. During the gathering, Takaharu and the other male Ninningers confront remnants of the Kibaoni Army, only for Fuka and Kasumi to defeat the enemies with ease.

Fuka and Kasumi are now known as the “Ninnin Girls”, a pair of “idol ninja” managed by Sakurako Igasaki, the mother of Fuka and Takaharu and also a well-known producer. Hoping to strengthen the girls’ careers, Sakurako claims that she has trademarked the terms “Last Ninja” and “Igasaki Style” and forbids the male Ninningers from using them publicly.

When Takaharu and the others refuse to accept her demand, Sakurako challenges them to a competition between the boys and girls. The male Ninningers’ equipment and Nin Shuriken will be surrendered if they lose. Meanwhile, in the afterlife, Ariake no Kata learns about the conflict among the Igasaki ninjas and decides to exploit it as an opportunity for revenge. She also revives her son Mangetsu and places him at the head of the Kibaoni Army.

Before the match between the Ninnin Girls and the Ninnin Boys, as Sakurako names them, the girls gain a new member named Luna Kokonoe. Using Kyuemon’s Nin Shuriken, Luna transforms into MidoNinger. Tsumuji also joins the girls as AkaNinger to make the two sides even, while hoping to impress his wife.

The contest begins with several individual matches. With outside interference affecting some of the battles, Kasumi defeats Yakumo, Nagi defeats Tsumuji, Kinji defeats Luna, and Fuka defeats Takaharu. With each side earning two victories, a final round is arranged using their Otomonin.

The Ninnin Girls fight with Shurikenzin Dino and Gekiatsu Daioh, while the Ninnin Boys use Bison King and Lion Haoh. Another act of sabotage allows the girls to win. Honoring the agreement, the male Ninningers surrender their equipment, although they privately admit that they have realized the competition was manipulated.

The following day, the Ninnin Girls encounter Ariake, who arrives with the revived Juza Yumihari. Ariake reveals that she was responsible for the sabotage during the competition. The revelation shakes Fuka, who begins to believe that she did not truly defeat Takaharu on her own.

When the Ninnin Girls appear to be killed by the two Yokai, Sakurako falls into despair. Her fear provides the power needed to revive Mangetsu Kibaoni. Juza then moves to kill Sakurako, but the male Ninningers arrive in time to defend her.

Fuka and Kasumi subsequently reappear, revealing that they had only pretended to die. Together, the Ninningers defeat Juza. Luna also joins the fight, and it is revealed that she has been possessed by Kyuemon’s spirit. Kyuemon explains that he wants to fight beside the Ninningers as a way to redeem himself.

The male Ninningers recover their equipment and reunite with the female Ninningers to fight the revived Kibaoni Army and its Yokai forces. With only Mangetsu and Ariake remaining, the team quickly combines its attacks and delivers the finishing blow, bringing the Kibaoni Army’s resurrection to an end.

After the battle, Kyuemon is finally able to reincarnate and leaves Luna’s body to pass into the afterlife. The Ninningers then offer their prayers to their late grandfather.

Kasumi announces that she is graduating from the Ninnin Girls and returning to her research, explaining that she became an idol only to help Fuka grow. Nagi uses the opportunity to become the new producer for Fuka and Luna. The Ninningers then separate once more to continue following their individual paths, promising to reunite again and report on the progress they have made.
