Kamen Rider × Super Sentai × Space Sheriff: Super Hero Taisen Z

Kamen Rider × Super Sentai × Space Sheriff: Super Hero Taisen Z is a 2013 tokusatsu superhero film featuring a crossover between the Kamen Rider, Super Sentai, and Space Sheriff series, with the Space Sheriffs representing the Metal Heroes franchise as a whole. It is also a sequel to the 2012 film Kamen Rider × Super Sentai: Super Hero Taisen.

The film features the protagonists of Space Sheriff Gavan: The Movie, Tokumei Sentai Go-Busters, and Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger. Characters from Kamen Rider Wizard, Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger, and Kamen Rider Fourze also participate, along with the returning Kamen Rider Super-1. The version of Inazuman introduced in Movie War Ultimatum appears as well.

While investigating the sudden appearance of magical portals, Haruto Soma and Koyomi are attacked by Geki Jumonji. Geki attempts to kill the wizard because he believes Haruto’s magic threatens universal peace. However, after seeing Kamen Rider Wizard risk his own life to protect Koyomi and a child from the collateral damage of their battle, Space Sheriff Gavan realizes that Haruto is a protector like himself and withdraws.

Geki returns to the Galactic Union and reports to his superior, the previous and original Gavan, Retsu Ichijouji, that Haruto is not their enemy. He refuses to continue the mission to eliminate Kamen Riders Wizard and Beast. Retsu responds by relieving Geki of duty and assigning the mission to Kai, Space Sheriff Sharivan, despite Geki’s attempts to persuade his senior to allow further investigation.

Elsewhere, Yoko Usami and her Buddyroid Usada Lettuce are waiting at a campsite after Yoko’s Go-Buster teammates are unable to meet them. They notice a strange object crashing nearby and travel to the impact site, where they discover a small robot. Yoko brings it back to the Energy Management Center and decides to repair it herself.

The robot has no memory of its past but introduces itself as Psycholon, and Yoko gradually becomes friends with it. The following day, she is ambushed by Kamen Rider monsters and regains her ability to transform into Yellow Buster. During the attack, her teammates are pulled into a magical portal that had been intended for Yoko and Psycholon.

Meanwhile, Haruto investigates the place where Psycholon was discovered and battles Shocker grunts before encountering Space Ikadevil of the revived Space Shocker, who is searching for Psycholon. Haruto is then sent through a portal and encounters the Kyoryugers, who initially mistake him for a Debo Monster.

Impressed by Haruto, Daigo challenges him to a duel, but Gai Ikari of the Gokaigers arrives and stops the confrontation. Gai explains that Space Shocker is responsible for the mysterious portals and also tells Haruto about Geki. Haruto learns that the Space Galactic Union believes he and Kosuke Nito are responsible for the growing chaos.

Kosuke overhears the discussion and points out Sharivan as the Space Sheriff arrives. Geki attempts to stop his fellow Sheriff from attacking Gokai Silver and the Kamen Riders, but when he tries to equip his Type-G Combat Suit, he discovers that he has been locked out of the Dolgiran’s systems. Geki urges Sharivan to search for the true criminal behind the crisis.

Haruto uses nearby Space Shocker troops as a distraction, allowing himself and the others to escape and hide. After the Space Shocker forces withdraw, Geki follows them while Sharivan witnesses the appearance of the Genmu Fortress.

Geki discovers that Space Shocker’s magical power is being supplied by Strategist Raider of the fallen Space Crime Syndicate Madou. Raider intends to bring the Genmu Fortress to Earth and transform reality into the Genmu World once Psycholon is captured. After an encounter involving the Kyodain, Gai helps Geki return to their dimension. Geki then rescues Yoko and Psycholon from Space Shocker forces with assistance from Beast.

The group takes refuge at the Antique Shop Omokagedō. There, Gai explains the existence of Mado to everyone present. Geki realizes that the Galactic Union’s only remaining solution for protecting the universe may be to destroy Earth with the Super Dimensional Cannon.

Gai insists that destroying the planet is unacceptable. Geki leaves and meets Kai, who tells him that they are already too late to prevent Mado from bringing the fortress to Earth and that the Galactic Union will soon destroy the planet. As an Earth citizen himself, Geki refuses to abandon the world and convinces Kai to give him one hour to stop the alliance between Mado and Space Shocker.

Gai and Yoko overhear the conversation. Gai leaves to gather reinforcements, while Geki leads a group consisting of himself, Yoko, Psycholon, and Nito into the Genmu World. Kamen Rider Beast remains behind to fight Space Kumo Otoko until the Livemen, Gingamen, Gekirangers, Kamen Rider Amazon, and Kamen Rider Hibiki arrive to support him.

Geki becomes separated from Yoko after Space Ikadevil grabs him. Gai manages to get him aboard the Dolgiran, where Kotoha Hanaori of the Shinkengers restores access to the transformation system. Geki can once again transform into Gavan type-G and receives support from Kamen Riders Fourze and Meteor, the Flashmen, the Dekarangers, Kamen Rider Decade, and Kamen Rider Super-1.

Fourze is rescued by Inazuman and Sanagiman, unaware of their future teacher-student relationship, and goes on to defeat Space Kumo Otoko. Elsewhere, Gavan and Gokai Silver attempt to avenge the Kyodain when they return the favor, while the Gokaigers arrive and use Metal Hero Keys to defeat Space Ikadevil.

At Genmu Castle, Yellow Buster reaches the place where her captured friends are being held. She encounters Raider and Shadow Moon, but Psycholon teleports her friends out of their cell so they can help her battle Shadow Moon. Gavan, Kamen Rider Beast, and the Gokaigers soon arrive as additional support.

Kamen Rider Wizard appears in time to dispel Genmu Space. At the same time, the Kyoryugers, Space Sheriffs Sharivan and Shaider, and Kamen Riders Fourze, Meteor, and OOO deal with the incoming Space Shocker reinforcements. Shadow Moon is defeated by the Kyoryugers, while the assembled heroes surround Raider.

Raider is mortally wounded by a combined Dragon Breath and Kentrospiker attack. The heroes then learn that a regretful Retsu has fired the Super Dimensional Cannon. With his dying breath, Raider reveals that the cannon’s blast will provide the power needed to revive Mado’s leader, Demon King Psycho.

Gavan refuses to allow this to happen and uses the Dolgiran to block the blast, apparently sacrificing himself. Sharivan and Shaider join the effort aboard Grand Birth and Vavilos.

Despite their actions, the resulting shockwave supplies the required energy. Psycholon flies into the core of Genmu Castle, which is revealed to be Psycho’s true body. Raider is revived in a new form, and Space Raider reveals that Psycholon is actually part of Psycho. An army of Super Sentai monsters also appears, placing the gathered heroes in a desperate situation.

Akaranger and Kamen Rider 1 arrive with reinforcements, and the combined heroes wipe out the Super Sentai monsters. Kamen Rider Beast battles Space Raider with help from Kyoryu Gold and a brief interruption from the now de-powered Beet J Stag.

Wizard joins the Kyoryugers aboard Kyoryuzin to battle Psycho. Yellow Buster uses RH-03 to reach Psycholon, which manages to break free from Psycho’s control. Psycholon then sacrifices itself to protect Yoko.

The Space Sheriffs reveal that they survived and use the Big Grand Fire attacks from their ships to prevent Psycho from escaping Earth. Kyoryuzin equips WizardDragon and destroys Psycho with a Zyudenryu Brave Strike End.

After the battle, the various superheroes begin going their separate ways. Usada reassures Yoko that they can repair Psycholon. Geki entrusts Gai with watching over Earth, having gained a new understanding of what universal peace means, before he and the other Space Sheriffs return to space.

In a post-credits scene, a mysterious blue-and-red figure appears and declares that “They are not the only heroes of Earth”.
