About Tensou Sentai Goseiger: Epic on the Movie

Tensou Sentai Goseiger: Epic on the Movie is the film adaptation of the 34th Super Sentai Series, Tensou Sentai Goseiger. It was released on August 7, 2010, as a double feature with the Kamen Rider W film Kamen Rider W Forever: A to Z/The Gaia Memories of Fate. The story follows the Goseigers as they attempt to protect Earth from surviving members of Warstar who seek the Horn of Ragnarok.[2][3] Like W Forever, Epic on the Movie was filmed in 3-D. The film was later released on Blu-ray and DVD on April 28, 2016.

The film’s main guest star is Sayaka Isoyama as Rashiru, guardian of the Horn of Ragnarok. Isoyama is also known for playing Ran Saotome/Sazer-Visuel in Chouseishin Gransazer. Higuchi-kun, Louis Yamada LIII’s boke partner in the manzai duo Hige Danshaku, also appears as announcer Katta Higuchi. Epic on the Movie became the first Super Sentai film released on Blu-ray Disc.

After hearing a mysterious voice, Alata discovers a strange girl and asks what is troubling her. She introduces herself as Rasil before suddenly running away. Later, while Alata is thinking about the encounter, Datas alerts the Gosei Angels after detecting Warstar activity.

The team travels to Hokuto University, where Warstar has attacked a staff member connected to a mineral exhibit and taken a rock resembling the exhibit’s prized stone. The Landick Siblings realize that the stone at the exhibit is a fake, while Alata spots Rasil carrying the genuine one. When he confronts her, Rasil explains that the stone is dangerous.

They are then attacked by Gyōten’ō of the Supernova. The Goseigers transform, but Gyōten’ō proves too powerful for them. Deinbaruto of the Morning Star takes the stone from Rasil and uses it with another stone to unseal the Horn of Ragnarok (ラグナロクの角笛 Ragunaroku no Tsunobue). The Warstar aliens then escape with the weapon.

Hyde discovers that the Horn of Ragnarok is a doomsday weapon capable of causing a series of natural disasters that would ultimately destroy the planet. Meanwhile, Alata follows Rasil and learns that she had been trying to prevent Warstar from obtaining the Horn.

Later, Gyōten’ō and Deinbaruto are approached by Buredoran, who assumes his Warstar form and offers them his services. Gyōten’ō gives Deinbaruto the Horn so he can begin bringing about the end of the world.

Alata reassures Rasil that he and the other Gosei Angels will stop them. His teammates soon join him, but the group is ambushed by revived phantoms of Warstar aliens. The phantoms trap the Goseigers in a series of illusions until Gosei Knight arrives and defeats them.

The Gosei Angels finally reach Gyōten’ō and Deinbaruto. They transform into their Goseiger forms and battle the two Warstar enemies along with Buredoran. During the confrontation, Gyōten’ō swallows the Horn of Ragnarok. Buredoran fights using both his Warstar and Yummajuu forms and later uses his Bibi Bugs to enlarge Gyōten’ō after Deinbaruto is destroyed.

The Dragon Headder is damaged during the battle, leaving Gosei Red unable to form Gosei Great. Rasil begins praying, and her prayers grant the Goseigers the Gosei Wonder Card. They summon Gosei Wonder and combine it into Wonder Gosei Great to confront the enlarged Gyōten’ō.

With Rasil supporting them, the Goseigers use Wonder Strike to destroy both Gyōten’ō and the Horn of Ragnarok. After the battle, Rasil thanks Alata and the Gosei Angels for helping her. She then leaves Earth while the Goseigers wave goodbye, bringing their conflict with Warstar to a true end.
