Himitsu Sentai Gorenger

Himitsu Sentai Goranger is a Japanese tokusatsu superhero television series created by Shotaro Ishinomori. It was the first series in the long-running Super Sentai metaseries of tokusatsu programming. The series aired on NET (now TV Asahi) from April 5, 1975, to March 26, 1977, for a total of 84 episodes. Toei distributes it internationally under the title Five Rangers.

In the Philippines, the series was released under the title Star Rangers.

When the rise of a terrorist group called the Black Cross Army threatens world peace, EAGLE, the Earth Guard League,[2] is formed to fight the threat. The Black Cross Army sends five operatives to destroy every EAGLE branch in Japan. They kill everyone except five agents, who are summoned to a secret base beneath the snack shop “Gon.”

There, EAGLE Japan commander Gonpachi Edogawa recruits the survivors. They become the Himitsu Sentai Gorangers and receive electronic battlesuits that give them superhuman strength and speed. The five dedicate themselves to defeating the Black Cross Army and its leader, the Black Cross Führer.

The International Secret Defense Organization EAGLE was established to protect the world from the terrorist group known as the Black Cross Army. EAGLE developed the battlesuits and advanced technology the Gorangers use to counter the Black Cross Army’s cyborg technology.

The Gorangers transform into their costumes by shouting “Go!” Before battle, the team cries, “Together we are Goranger!” (５人揃って、ゴレンジャー！, Gonin sorotte, Gorenjā!).
